Aside from academic trainings, Maryanne Duan keeps herself updated with professional seminars, conferences, peer researches, and published books and articles. She traveled to and has been trained in different countries in order to meet the demand of today's diverse clientele who are in need of effective and culturally appropriate coaching and counseling services.
Before opening her private practice as a life coach and therapist, Maryanne Duan acquired supervised training in a mental health outpatient clinic, working with individuals who were struggling with severe mental illnesses such as Major Depression, Schizophrenia, Bipolar, Posttraumatic Stress Disorder, Anxiety, Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder, Personality Disorders, and Substance Dependency. She subsequently interned in a community counseling center where she provided counseling services to clients who experienced difficulties in marital and family relationships, communication and social interactions, job satisfaction, life after divorce, coping with grief and loss, overcoming depression and anxiety, and daily stress management. Maryanne Duan's additional experiences include crisis intervention and assessment, and psychological testing as a PsyD Intern.
